It was mid-December, 2000, and I (Andrea M. Nolin) had already invited some musician friends to play with me in a Memorial Concert in January, but we were sorely lacking press materials. I called a graphic designer friend, Robert Chester, and he asked me to find photos of the land Judy fought so hard to preserve and make public. Many people had told me that Parrish Dobson had photographed the area extensively, but her studio had recently been destroyed in the Kendall Center for the Arts fire. I took a deep breath and called her. Parrish agreed to show me the three photos that she had rescued the morning after the fire. We brushed off the ashes and I took them to Robert. The photo above is the one that he chose, and has, with Parrish’s blessing, become the signature image of the annual Record Players Concert.
On the morning of Concert I, a blizzard was raging. But by noon time, the snow stopped, the sun came out and it looked exactly like the photograph! We played to a packed church and have had snow events on, or near, our concert date ever since!

Who are The Record Players? You'll find out who we were in 2010 at least, and see some timeless pictures of Belmont as well. This anniversary concert also coincided with the Town of Belmont's 150th year. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the music!
